On March 17th 2015 we were delighted to see a new Saint Patrick Breakfast tradition begun at the Lucan Centre on Primrose Lane, Lucan.  The Centre, a place set apart for retreat and reconciliation, has recently been refurbished and, under the leadership of Norman McCorkell and his team, is now a wonderful resource right in the heart of Lucan Village. We are delighted that the Centre has decided to host this new event.

Their guest speaker for the morning was the Rev Pat Story, the Anglican Bishop of Kildare and Meath; Father Philip Curran led in our  prayers for others; and Robert Dowds TD and Cllr Liona

O’Toole, Deputy Mayor of South Dublin County Council, were present to present the inaugural Spirit of St Patrick Award to this year’s winners, Pieta House. We were also delighted to have the Zara Curtis School of Dance and Lucan Comhaltas along to provide our entertainment. It was a lovely morning and, as always, a great way to kick off our St Patrick’s Day celebrations. Since this was the off year for the Maynooth breakfast we even had a few familiar faces from there too!

Many congratulations to all who made this first ever Saint Patrick Breakfast in Lucan the great success it was!
